CLEVELAND-- The Mid-American Conference announced today that Miami sophomore Joseph Canitano was named MAC Golfer of the Week. Canitano, a transfer from Michigan State, made his RedHawk debut this week at the Island Resort Intercollegiate in Harris, Mich. The Milton, Ga. native carded seven birdies in his final 36 holes and finished with a score of 214 (75-69-70) to tie for 40th overall and lead the Red and White.

Miami Golf is back in action beginning Sunday at the Gopher Invitational in Independence, Minn.
