Popa Named MAC Goalkeeper of the Week

CLEVELAND--Â The Mid-American Conference announced its soccer players of the week today, and Miami's Dominique Popa was named MAC Goalkeeper of the Week.
Popa, a junior from Odenton, Md., recorded two shutouts last week, adding to her conference-leading total of five and helping Miami Soccer to a pair of 1-0 victories (vs. Eastern Michigan and at Akron). Popa totaled nine saves, her most in a two-game span this season, and moved into fourth place on Miami's career shutouts list with 17.
Miami Soccer returns to action Sunday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. for a home match vs. Toledo.
