RedHawks Kick Off 2025 Cross Country Season at Home

OXFORD, Ohio— The Miami University cross country teams opened the season Friday morning by hosting the RedHawk Rumble. Miami's men finished third with 65 points, while the RedHawk women also placed third with 58 points. Cincinnati's men and women both took first place, with Dayton's men and women coming in second.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Leading the RedHawk men in today's five-kilometer race was Tom Heal, who placed 10th overall with a time of 15:00.55. He was followed by Evan Jarold in 13th place with a time of 15:07.25.
- Other RedHawk finishers were Petros Sanchez Ropero (15:20.36), Anton Martinez (15:20.95), Luke Mussard (15:27.40), Josh Razor (15:29.43), Ben Fahnestock (15:31.69), Weston Naville (15:35.01), Adrian Stechschulte (15:50.37) and Jack Klein (15:52.56). Charles Namiot placed fourth overall in the men's race (14:48.5), running unattached.
- In women's action, Marisa Heil led the RedHawks in the 5K with a third-place finish and a time of 17:10.43. She was followed by eighth-place finisher, Cara Razavi (18:01.52) and 12th-place finisher, Cara Naas (18:32.3)
- Emma Morrow (18:55.36), Emma Berres (18:59.19), and Ella Daddario (19:21.40) also competed for the Red and White.
