RedHawks Cruise in Second Half to 3-0 Win

OXFORD, Ohio— The Miami University soccer team rolled to a 3-0 win versus Chicago State Thursday night at Bobby Kramig Field. The RedHawks move to 2-2-0 with the result in their home opener. CSU is now 1-2-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miami's only goal of the first half came at the 20th minute when Katie O'Malley hit a shot that was served on a platter from Morhéa Hoefen.
- The second goal, courtesy of Kayla Perfect in the 56th minute, was setup on beautiful work by Hoefen.
- Three minutes later, a deflection off of Ava Boyd ended up in the back of the net for the RedHawks' third and final goal of the contest.
NOTES
- Hoefen produced her first multi-assist game since Oct. 15, 2023 vs. Toledo.
- Perfect and Boyd each scored their first career goals as RedHawks.
- Emily Paul made her season debut for the Red and White.
- Miami out-shot CSU 21 to 3.
