THIS WEEKEND: The Red and White begin the 2025 season by traveling to the Bellarmine Classic this weekend, Aug. 29-30. The RedHawks will begin the tournament against SIUE at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, and they will also play another match in the evening versus Bellarmine at 7:30 p.m. The RedHawks close out the tournament by taking on Indiana State at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
ABOUT SIUE: SIUE is coming off a season where it posted a 12-18 mark and went 7-11 in Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) action. The RedHawks and Cougars met for the first time on Sept. 15, 2023, with Miami falling 1-3 to SIUE at the Purdue Ft. Wayne Invitational. SIUE was picked to finish seventh in the 2025 OVC Preseason Volleyball Poll. Outside hitter Bree Schreimann was named to the 2025 OVC Volleyball Watch List.
ABOUT BELLARMINE: The Bellarmine Knights recorded a 7-19 record (4-12 ASUN) in 2024. The Knights were selected to finish ninth overall in this year's ASUN Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll. The all-time series is 2-1 in favor of the Red and White. The last time Bellarmine and Miami faced off the RedHawks fell 0-3 on Sept. 3, 2022.
ABOUT INDIANA STATE: Indiana State closed out the 2024 season with a 5-25 record (2-16 MVC). The RedHawks are 11-2 when facing off with the Sycamores. Miami has won six consecutive matches versus Indiana State, with the last win coming on Sept. 7, 2019 in a 3-0 victory.
TELEVISION: MU's 7:30 p.m. Friday match against Bellarmine will be aired on ESPN+.
UP NEXT: The RedHawks return home to host the Ohio State Buckeyes on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 6:30 p.m. Miami will recognize former coach and Hall of Famer Carolyn Condit that night with the dedication of Coach Carolyn Condit Court, as the RedHawks unveil a new state-of-the-art Taraflex floor at Millett Hall made possible by gifts from a number of Condit's former student-athletes. This court will be unveiled prior to the start of the match. Throughout her legendary coaching career, Condit amassed a 682-554 record at Miami and also recorded 781 wins throughout her time as a head coach. Condit compiled more career wins than any coach in any sport in the history of Miami Athletics.
STRONG RETURNS: Of its 16-player roster, the Red and White return 10 players from the 2024 roster. Seniors

Gentry Warrick anchor a solid veteran group. They are joined by juniors

Anna McClure (redshirt) and
Chelsea Williams. The sophomore class includes

Lydia Michelin.
FRESH ON THE SCENE: Six newcomers will be joining the Miami roster as well. The RedHawks welcome four freshmen this season which includes
Lauren Coyne,
Molly Creech,
Grace Kreutz and
Lindy Radaszewski. Miami also brings on
Lindsay Kahren who is a senior (transfer from William and Mary) and
Kamryn Utley who is a sophomore (transfer from Lehigh).
