Meet the 2025-26 Miami Hockey Team: Owen Lalonde

OXFORD, Ohio— With the Miami Hockey season set to begin on Friday, Oct. 3 against Ferris State at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena, second-year head coach Anthony Noreen's program will have quite a few new faces in 2025-26.

Owen Lalonde, a defenseman from Windsor, Ontario, will join the RedHawks this year. He played the past four years for Queen's University (U Sports).

Owen Lalonde, 6-1, 195, Defenseman, Windsor, Ontario/Flint (OHL)/Queen's Univ.

PRIOR TO MIAMI

Played four seasons for Queen's University, totaling 81 points (15-66-81)
Finished with 25 points (2-23-25) during 2024-25 season for Queen's
Collected three assists in a game on three different occasions during his time at Queen's
Won OHL championship during 2018-19 season with Guelph Storm
Served as Guelph assistant captain in 2019 before joining Flint
Put up 100 points (12-88-100) in 256 career OHL games between Flint, Guelph and Sudbury
