OXFORD, Ohio -- Highlighted by five contests versus Power-5 programs and 10 home games, the Miami field hockey team announced its 2025 schedule.
Â
Miami opens the season on Friday, Aug. 29 with a home contest versus UC Davis and two days later on Aug. 31, welcomes Saint Francis to Southwest Ohio.
Â
"This schedule is a great opportunity for us," said Becca Lawn. "We are looking forward to competing hard against a group of schools that include long-time conference rivals, traditional powers and new opponents. Our goal is to play great hockey and improve throughout the season."
Â
Miami's opening homestand continues on Sept. 5 versus New Hampshire. Other home non-conference games include Michigan State (Sept. 21) and Indiana (Oct. 13). The RedHawks also travel to face Iowa (Sept. 12), Northwestern (Sept. 14) and Wake Forest (Oct. 5).
Â
MAC play begins at home on Sept. 19 versus Bellarmine. Other home contests include UMass (Sept. 28), Central Michigan (Oct. 17), Ball State (Oct. 19) and Longwood (Oct. 31). The RedHawks will also compete in conference at Kent State (Sept. 26), Appalachian State (Oct. 3), James Madison (Oct. 10) and Ohio (Oct. 24).
"We are excited for the upcoming season," said Berta Mata. "The team has been working hard throughout the spring and summer and we are ready for the next challenge. We are looking to build on what we have done and welcome in an exciting group to help us grow individually and as a team to navigate this schedule."
