Meet the 2025-26 Miami Hockey Team: Shaun McEwen

OXFORD, Ohio— With the Miami Hockey season set to begin on Friday, Oct. 3 against Ferris State at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena, second-year head coach Anthony Noreen's program will have quite a few new faces in 2025-26.

Shaun McEwen, a defenseman from South Hadley, Mass., will join the RedHawks this year. He spent last season in the USHL with the Tri-City Storm.

PRIOR TO MIAMI

Spent four seasons with USHL's Tri-City Storm and played 191 regular-season games there
Put up 32 points (7-25-32) in 57 appearances during 2024-25 campaign
Finished with double-digit point totals in 2022-23 (2-8-10) and again in 2023-24 (2-14-16)
Served as captain for multiple seasons, including in 2023-24 under then-head coach Noreen
Participated in playoffs each of past four seasons with Tri-City
