Cuthbertson Named MAC Pitcher of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio– Miami's Hayden Cuthbertson was named the MAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 4 after making two mound appearances for the RedHawks. Cuthbertson threw three innings in relief against EKU last Tuesday and five innings on Sunday, making a start against Akron. Over eight total innings, he surrendered no walks, no runs, and only two hits while striking out nine batters.

Cuthbertson was credited with Sunday's 5-0 shutout win over the Zips, where he surrendered just two bases all game. He is a Junior majoring in Economics and is from Ladner, BC.

Cuthberston and the RedHawks will resume play on Thursday, May 15, with a three-game conference series on the road against Ball State, their final regular-season series of the year.
