Men's Golf Ties for Eighth in Field of Power-Four Opponents

NAPLES, Fla.— The Miami University golf team proved competitive against Power Four schools, tying for eighth place alongside Iowa at this week's Calusa Cup. Miami ended the tournament with a final score of 892 (32 above par), one stroke behind seventh-place Virginia. Brett Podobinski led the RedHawks by tying for 16th place. The team collectively shot 38 birdies.

- Podobinski's final score (73-71-74=218) included a hole-in-one at No. 11 in his second round.
- Cameron Pero (76-74-74=224) ended the event tied for 27th.
- Michael Weber (80-75-71=226) tied for 33rd.
- Morgan Blythe (76-80-75=231) tied for 39th.
- Sam West (80-77-78=235) placed 45th overall.
- Sam Mortell (68-73=141), Liam Nelson (70-75=145), Tyler Anderson (70-75=145), and Matthew Mattioli (75-73=148) completed the second round of the Jewell Invitational as individuals.
