
RedHawks Finish Strong at Don Benbow Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— Individuals from the Miami RedHawks finished competition in the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational. Sam Mortell (68-70-69=207) led the pack, moving up two places from Monday to tie for second place overall.

The RedHawks will compete in the Calusa Cup in Naples, Fla. from April 6-7.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Mortell shot nine birdies throughout the tournament to finish three strokes below par.
- Matthew Mattioli (72-68-68=208) opened his third round of play with an eagle on the first hole and ended the tournament tied for sixth.
- Tyler Anderson (74-71-70=215) jumped up two places from round two to tie for 27th, totaling 10 birdies for a score of five above par.
- Nathan Vonderhaar (75-69-77=221) shot five birdies and finished tied for 65th.
