RedHawks Finish Day Two at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C.-- The Miami track and field teams finished day two of the Raleigh Relays, with a total of six RedHawk student-athletes competing on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On the field for the men, Ben Riegel finished eighth in his flight and 23rd overall in the men's discus throw, achieving a personal-best mark of 45.54 meters. Riegel beat the PR that he set last week at the Blizzard Buster by six hundredths of a meter. Owen Billeter also competed in the event, and he placed 12th in his section and 34th overall with 43.66 meters.
- In the men's 400-meter dash, Anthony Vlatko placed seventh in his section and 69th overall with a new personal-best time of 49.69 seconds, two tenths of a second faster than his previous PR.
- In the women's 1500-meter run, Nora Zubillaga finished fifth in her section and 129th overall with a new PR of 4:31.44. With this performance, Zubillaga beat the PR that she set last week at the Blizzard Buster by nearly 12 seconds.
