Gonzalez, Tretter Honored by MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Enjulina Gonzalez earned First-Team All-MAC and Amber Tretter was named All-MAC Honorable Mention on Tuesday morning, announced by the league office.

Gonzalez, in her first year with the RedHawks, is fourth in the MAC in scoring (16.9 ppg.), while averaging 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. She has scored at least 20 points nine times this season, including a career-best 29 in a win over Florida International. She has been named MAC Player of the Week three different times and her 490 points scored this season are 34 away from cracking the top 10 in program history.

For the second-straight year Tretter earned All-MAC Honorable Mention. She currently averages 11.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and has a team-high 27 blocks. She has eight double-doubles this season, including a 14-point, 20-rebound effort versus Buffalo. She also had 16 points and 17 rebounds in a win over Eastern Michigan and 16 points and 11 boards against Xavier.

Gonzalez, Tretter and the entire RedHawks squad face Kent State on Wednesday, March 12 in the quarterfinals of the MAC Tournament.
