OXFORD, Ohio — The Miami University swimming and diving team hosted the Miami Classic Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 at Corwin M. Nixon. Aquatic Center. The women led 455 to Youngstown State's 111. The men led 360 to Youngstown State's 158.

How it Happened: 

• The meet kicked off with the women's 200-yard freestyle relay where the women's A team finished first. Kaylin Herbet, Madeline Padavic, Ella Ziegert and Julia Waechter turned in a combined time of 1:30.90. The women's C team finished second, and right behind them the women's B team finished third. Caitlin Horn, Katheryn Antonowich, Natalie Gilson and Zofia Janaszek-Seydlitz turned in a time of 1:35.44 for the C team. Emma Schueler, McKenzie Reid, Erin Szczupakiewicz and Maggie Stock had a combined time of 1:35.47 for the women's B team.
• The men's 200-yard freestyle relay followed where the men's A team finished first. Henju Duvenhage, Carter McIntosh, Kevin Donaldson and Jack Herczeg recorded a combined time of 1:20.18. The men's B team finished second. Adrian Dulay, Ian Kmiliauskis, Zach Bann and Drew Watson earned a combined time of 1:23.31.
• Casey Stephens finished first in the women's 500-yard freestyle clocking a time of 4:56.76. Audrey Conley was second and Chrisna Bezuidenhout finished third, posting times of 4:58.30 and 4:57.85 respectively.
• The men's 500-yard freestyle was next where George Clark came in second place with a time of 4:55.47.
• After that came the women's 200 IM where Angelina Cakuls finished first, turning in a time of  2:05.40. Maddie Zehr came in second and Makayla Hoehn in third, with times of 2:05.85 and 2:06.33 respectively.
• Yonatan Rosin finished first in the men's 200 IM earning a time of 1:54.04. Jack Schardt was second, recording a time of 1:55.39
• Herbet finished first in the women's 50-yard freestyle posting a time of 22.87. Gilson was second and Horn was third with times of 22.36 and 23.96 respectively.
• McIntosh was first in the men's 50-yard freestyle, recording a time of 20.68. Owen Hoban finished second with a time of 20.71. Donaldson finished third turning in a time of 20.80.
• The women's 400 medley relay was next where the women's B team finished first. Emily Rinker, Caitlyn Groff, Kenadie Glasgow and Ashley Sego posted a combined time of 3:54.21. The women's A team finished second. Katheryn Antonowich, Lauren Gualtieri, Conley and Stephens earned a combined time of 4:03.30.
• Swimming events concluded with the men's 400 medley relay, where the men's A team finished first. Aaron Black, Ian Wihebrink, Hoban and Allen Cotton turned in a combined time of 3:14.34. The men's B team was second. Scott Spear, Paul Brosky, Tommy Frye and Herczeg recorded a combined time of 3:23.15.
