OXFORD, Ohio — The Miami University men's swimming and diving team won the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) championships Saturday Feb. 22, 2025 at Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center. Miami scored 820 points, securing its fifth straight men's championship title. Other placements were Southern Illinois University in second place with 691.5 points, Missouri State University in third with 602.5 points, University of Illinois Chicago in fourth place with 553.5 points, Ball State University in fifth place with 387.5 points, Valparaiso University in sixth place with 139 points and University of Evansville in seventh place with 127 points.
Head coach
Samantha Pitter was named the MVC Men's Swimming Coach of the Year, and
Owen Hoban also received the MVC Freshman of the Year award. All-Conference First Team honors were given to
Tegan Barrier, Allen Cotton, Adrian Dulay, Henju Duvenhage, Tommy Frye, Jack Herczeg, Owen Hoban, Bryce Menchhofer, Jackson Miller, Jensen Nelson and Scott Spear. All-Conference Honorable mentions included

How it Happened:
- The meet started with the 1650-yard freestyle, where Frye finished first, clocking a time of 15:30.53.
- Up next was the 200-yard backstroke, where Nelson finished first, breaking a program and MVC record with a time of 1:43.34.
- The 100-yard freestyle was next, where Kmiliauskis finished sixth, earning a time of 44.21.
- After that was the 200-yard breaststroke, where Dulay finished third, posting a personal best time of 1:57.78.
- The 200-yard butterfly was next, where Hoban was first, breaking the MVC record with a time of 1:44.67. Cotton finished right behind him in second place, turning in a time of 1:44.89.
- For diving events, Miller finished fifth in the 3M dive, earning a score of 302.80.
- Swimming events concluded with the 400-yard freestyle relay, where Duvenhage, Herczeg, Kmiliauskis, and Barrier finished second with a combined time of 2:55.63.
