RedHawks Picked Seventh in Preseason Coaches’ Poll; Tretter Second Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Tuesday afternoon the Mid-American Conference announced that the Miami University women's basketball team was picked to finish seventh in the 2025-26 preseason coaches' poll.
Kent State was selected to finish first with 133 points and were followed by Toledo (118), UMass (115), Ball State (112), Central Michigan (105), Bowling Green (101), Miami (86), Akron (51), Western Michigan (48), Ohio (44), Buffalo (42), Eastern Michigan (36) and Northern Illinois (23).
Miami returns three starters from last season's squad, including Amber Tretter, who was picked Preseason All-MAC Second Team. Tretter is coming of a season where she posted career-bests in points (11.1) and rebounds (9.2). She has 20 double-doubles in her career and is on pace to become just the second RedHawk in program history to record 1,000 career rebounds.
