Nelson Claims First Career Win at Flyer Invitational

KETTERING, Ohio— Four RedHawks competed as individuals today in the final round of the Dayton Flyer Invitational at NCR Country Club. Liam Nelson's stellar performance through all three rounds earned him a first-place finish in the 82-player field. Nelson fired off a score of 70 in his final round to seal his victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nelson (66-70-70=206) started the final day of play tied for second place. Birdies on the first, second, sixth, eighth and 17th holes helped propel him to medalist honors for his first career No. 1 finish as a RedHawk.
- Bric Baird (74-73-79=226) shot eight over par in his final round and finished the tournament tied for 41st.
- Zach Radtke (78-71-77=226) shot six over par and finished the tournament tied for 41st.
- Dean Upholzer (78-75-81=234) shot 10 over par in his final round and finished the tournament tied for 67th.
