
Women's Swim and Dive Bested by Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Miami University women's swimming and diving team continued their road trip to Bowling Green State University on Saturday, Oct. 18. The RedHawk women were bested by the Falcons, 112-131.

UP NEXT: The RedHawks swimming and diving team will head home to take on Northern Kentucky University at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center on Friday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The RedHawks road meet started with the women's 200-yard medley where the women's A team finished second. Ella Ziegert, Madison Watschke, Natalie Gilson and Julie Waechter turned in a combined time of 1:43.83
- Sarah Pophal finished first in the women's 1000-yard freestyle, earning a time of 10:22.86. Audrey Conley was second with a time of 10:36.37.
- After that came the women's 200-yard freestyle, where Waechter finished third, recording a time of 1:55.87.
- The women's 50-yard freestyle followed where Gilson was second with a time of 23.94.
- Gracie Gregory was first in the women's 400-yard IM, posting a time of 4:29.29. Rebekah Gurley and Ashley Sego followed in second and third place with times of 4:30.90 and 4:35.41 respectively.
- Up next was the women's 100-yard butterfly where Gilson finished second earning a time of 57.32.
- Ziegert was second in the women's 100-yard freestyle posting a time of 51.86. Gregory finished third with a time of 53.19.
- The 100-yard backstroke followed where Madison Camden finished second turning in a time of 57.33.
- After that was the women's 500-yard freestyle where Pophal was first, recording a time of 5:05.48. Chrisna Bezuidenhout finished third posting a time of 5:11.55.
- Watschke was third in the women's 100-yard breaststroke earning a time of 1:05.30.
- Swimming events concluded with the women's 200-yard freestyle relay where the women's A team finished first. Jenna Halliday, Bezuidenhout, Camden and Waechter turned in a combined time of 1:35.67.
- For diving events, Mia Meinhardt earned a second place finish in the women's 1M dive with a score of 264.83.
- Mia Meinhardt earned a second place finish in the women's 3M dive as well with a score of 264.45.
UP NEXT: The RedHawks swimming and diving team will head home to take on Northern Kentucky University at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center on Friday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m.
