COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Miami's Justina Intzes was named NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week, the Association announced Wednesday morning.
The announcement came after Intzes led the RedHawks to a 2-0 weekend featuring wins over James Madison and Indiana. She was responsible for both the game-winner and an insurance goal in the 3-1 win over the Dukes, as well Miami's first goal in the 3-2 win over the Hoosiers. Intzes also received the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week accolade for her performance and is now tied for seventh in the nation (first among freshmen) scoring, averaging a goal per game.
Intzes and the RedHawks will return to action in two home games this weekend, facing Central Michigan this Friday at 1 p.m. and Ball State this Sunday at 1 p.m.
