Female Winner: Enjulina Gonzalez
Enjulina Gonzalez averaged 19.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game as Miami Women's Basketball went 1-1 over the past week. She shot 37% (10-27) from the floor and 93.3% (14-15) from the foul line over a two-game span. The sophomore opened with 15 points and three rebounds versus Ball State and added 23 points and a career-best seven rebounds in a win over the Broncos. She was 9-10 from the charity stripe, including a perfect 6-of-6 in the final 90 seconds of a 57-51 victory against WMU. Gonzalez is a sophomore Strategic Communication major in the College of Arts and Science.
Male Winner: Kam Craft
Kam Craft averaged 19.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.5 blocks per game to lead Miami Men's Basketball to a 2-0 week. Over the two games, Craft shot 56% (14-25) from the field and 52.9% (9-17) from behind the three-point line. On Monday, he recorded 19 points, one assist, one rebound and a steal against Defiance. On Saturday, Craft opened conference play against Buffalo with 20 points, five rebounds and two assists. He also went 2-2 from the free-throw line and added two clutch triples in the final 90 seconds to help Miami seal the win. Craft, a redshirt sophomore from Chicago, Ill., is studying Sport Management in the College of Education, Health and Society.
