RedHawks Drop 2-0 Decision at No. 6 Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa – On Friday afternoon No. 6 University of Iowa downed the Miami University field hockey team 2-0. Iowa improves to 2-1 on the season and the RedHawks drop to 2-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
UP NEXT: The RedHawks are back in action Sept. 11 in Bloomington, Ind. to take on Indiana University.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Despite each squad earning a penalty corner, neither was able to capitalize and the first quarter ended 0-0.
- In the latter quarter of the first half, the RedHawks successfully defended three penalty corners to keep the match even 0-0.
- Minutes into the third quarter, the Hawkeyes struck to take the lead 1-0, which they held through the end of the quarter.
- Iowa doubled their lead in the fourth to 2-0 which they held through the remainder of the game to hand the RedHawks their first loss, 2-0.
