Field Hockey Takes Top Spots in Preseason Coaches Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Wednesday afternoon the Mid-American Conference released the results of field hockey's 2024 preseason poll. Miami secured the top spot with 63 points and champion in the MAC Tournament with six votes. The complete poll by the league's nine head coaches can be found below.

2. Appalachian State – 54 points (1)
3. James Madison – 49 points
4. Kent State – 46 points (1)
5. Ohio – 33 points
6. Ball State – 27 points
7. Bellarmine – 21 points
8. Longwood – 20 points
9. Central Michigan – 11 points
MAC Tournament Champion: Miami (6), Kent State (2), James Madison (1)
UP NEXT: The RedHawks open their season this weekend in Oxford, Ohio against Bucknell University at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.
