Spaid Named Second-Team CSC Academic All-America

AUSTIN, Texas – Karli Spaid was named Second-Team Academic All-American by the College Sport Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday afternoon, becoming just the third RedHawk in program history to receive the award. The Chicago, Ill., native finished her Miami career with a 3.73 grade-point average, while majoring in business.
This past season, Spaid his .407 with 36 home runs (led the nation) and 78 RBI. She added a 1.102 slugging percentage and a .516 on-base percentage. She was named MAC Player of the Year and was a finalist for USA Softball's National Player of the Year award.
The senior added First-Team All-American honors by D1Softball and Softball America and third-team accolades by the NFCA. She was also the seventh overall pick in the 2024 Athletes Unlimited Draft.
Spaid finished her career with a .395 batting average, 103 home runs (second in NCAA history), 258 RBI and a .924 slugging percentage, all tops in Miami history.
