Richason Named Academic All-MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Katey Richason earned a spot on the women's basketball Academic All-MAC Team, announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Richason currently maintains a 3.79 grade-point average, while majoring in speech pathology.
Richason averaged a career-best 8.7 points and 5.7 rebounds this past season. She scored a career-high 21 points at Central Michigan and had a pair of double-doubles.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
