Men's Swim and Dive Finishes First at Day One of MAC Championships

Carbondale, Ill. – The 2024 men's swimming and diving Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships at Southern Illinois University kicked off today. The RedHawks finished day one in first place with 80 points, ahead of the other six teams.
How It Happened:
The RedHawks will continue with the MAC Championships on Thursday, March 7. Morning preliminary events will begin at 11:30 a.m., while finals events will start at 7 p.m.
How It Happened:
- The day kicked off with a first-place win, and overall program record from the 200-medley relay A team. Owen Blazer, Adrian Dulay, Henju Duvenhage and Jack Herczeg finished with a combined time of 1:25.72.
- The RedHawks claimed first place again in the second and final race of the day, with the 800 freestyle relay A team of Uroš Djokovic, Ian Kmiliauskis, Bryce Menchhofer and Allen Cotton coming in at 6:26.53, another program record.
The RedHawks will continue with the MAC Championships on Thursday, March 7. Morning preliminary events will begin at 11:30 a.m., while finals events will start at 7 p.m.
