Miami responded with a 9-2 run to climb within four, 28-24, but the Bulls scored four-straight from the foul line to lead by eight with three minutes left in the quarter. Lard knocked in a pair of free throws and after Tretter added one from the charity stripe, Jada Scott's triple from the corner made it 32-30 entering the final stanza.
