Women's Swim and Dive Start MAC Championships Tied for First

ATHENS, Ohio— The Miami University women's swimming & diving team competed at the 2024 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Women's Swimming & Diving Championships beginning today in Athens, Ohio. The RedHawks ended the day tied for first overall with the University of Akron (74 points).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The MAC Championships kicked off with the 200 medley relay finals. For Miami, the women's A relay team of Madeline Padavic, Sara Lahrach-Sanchez, McKenzie Reid and Nicole Maier finished second with a time of 1:37.54, a program record.
- In the 800 freestyle relay, the RedHawks A relay team placed first, with Maier, Julia Waechter, Kaylin Herbet and Greta Kolbeck finishing first for an overall combined time of 7:06.15 breaking the MAC conference and program records.
WHAT'S NEXT:
The RedHawks will continue on with the MAC Women's Championship on Thursday, Feb. 29. Morning preliminary events will begin at 10 a.m., while finals events will start at 6 p.m.
