Miami Senior in Third after Short Program at National Championships

LAS VEGAS, Nev.—Miami University's senior synchronized skating team notched a 67.90 for their short program and sit in third place after the first night of the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Miami skated second among the four-team field, recording an executed element score of 36.04 and a program component score of 32.82, and had one fall for their opening performance at the national championships.
The Haydenettes are in first place with a score of 80.19. Miami trails second-place Skyliners (70.76) by 2.86 points.
The RedHawks lead fourth-place Adrian (56.50) by 11.40 points.

UP NEXT:
Both RedHawk teams return to the ice tomorrow at the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. The collegiate team's competition is 9:50 p.m. (ET) Saturday with the RedHawks skating second, while the senior team returns to the ice following the collegiate event for the free skate competition at approximately 12:20 a.m. (ET) Sunday morning. Both events will be streamed live on Peacock.
