Miami Collegiate Team Finishes Fifth In Dr. Porter Classic

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — In their second skate of the season, the Miami University collegiate synchronized skating team competed at the Dr. Porter Classic, finishing in fifth place out of the nine-team collegiate field.

- On Sunday morning, the RedHawks skated and posted a final score of 90.01, which resulted in fifth place.
- The team's technical score came in at 43.83 and the component score came in at 47.18.
- Miami finished seven points better than the sixth-place team and was two points shy of Michigan State, who finished in fourth place.
- The Northernettes won the competition with a final score of 103.22. Five teams, including the RedHawks, were above the 90-point mark.

- Miami is idle from competition until 2025. The RedHawk senior team will travel to the CS Mozart Cup in Salzburg, Austria beginning Friday, Jan. 17, with the collegiate team set to skate during intermission at a Miami Hockey game that same night in Oxford (7:05 p.m.).
