Miami Golf Unveils 2025 Spring Schedule
12/2/2024 2:22:00 PM | Men's Golf
Miami University Golf head coach JD Fletcher announced his program's schedule for the spring of 2025 today. The RedHawks look to continue the momentum from a fall slate that saw them post a trio of top-three team finishes (second at Purdue Fall Invitational, third at Dayton Flyer Invitational, and, most recently, first at Hawaii's Kapolei Invitational).
Â
The RedHawks resume competition in February when they travel to the University of Houston's Border Olympics. Miami will tee off on Feb. 17-18 at the event in Laredo, Texas.
Â
The March portion of the slate begins with Michigan's Desert Mountain Intercollegiate, which will take place in Scottsdale, Ariz. on March 8-9. Miami will then host the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate in South Pittsburg, Tenn. from March 24-26.
Â
Miami returns to the prestigious Calusa Cup April 6-8, which is hosted by the University of Iowa at Calusa Pines Golf Club in Naples, Fla. The RedHawks will also compete at Ohio State (Buckeye Invitational on April 11-12) and Purdue (Boilermaker Intercollegiate on April 19-20) before traveling to the MAC Championship.
Â
Coming off a conference runner-up finish this past spring, the RedHawks will chase their first MAC team title since 2015 when they visit Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City, Ohio April 27-29.Â
Â
"We are very grateful for this opportunity to play such a high-level schedule that includes five Power Five events (Houston, Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State and Purdue). Without the support of our alumni and friends of the program, this would not be possible," Fletcher said.
Â
"We have an elite team and this is an elite schedule. We are mirroring the same April schedule as last year, which will keep the boys active and focused leading up to the MAC Championship; that seemed to pay dividends for us last spring. We are looking to keep our momentum from the fall and peak at the end of April."
