Miami Skating Opens Competitive Season in California

IRVINE, Calif.— The Miami University senior synchronized skating team finished in fourth place at this weekend's Synchro Fall Classic. Miami posted a score of 54.46 on Friday evening and a score of 113.93 on Saturday afternoon for a total score of 168.39.

- On Friday evening, the RedHawks skated a short program score of 54.46, with an elemental score of 28.19 and a program component score of 28.27.
- This score put Miami in fifth of seven teams going into the Saturday skate, just 1.01 points behind the fourth-place team, Hayden Select.
- On Saturday, Miami earned a 113.93 for its free skate, notching an executed element score of 56.65 and a program component score of 57.28 with zero falls.
- The Red and White finished in fourth place among the seven-team field.
- The Haydenettes won the Synchro Fall Classic with a team score of 186.89. The RedHawks ended the weekend just six points outside the top three.
