Miami Falls on the Road to Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio- The Miami soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Toledo at Paul Hotmer Field on Sunday afternoon. The RedHawks move to 5-4-5 (1-3-3 in MAC) and Toledo is now 5-6-3 (2-3-2 in MAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 70th minute, Toledo earned a free kick about 25-yards out. Chloe Tadolini put it towards the back post and Olivia Dault scored on a header to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
- Miami came right back and Makenna Morrison had her shot blocked on the line in the 71st minute for what would have been a tying goal.Â
- Grace Turski put in a low-driven corner kick to the front post and Brooklyn Whitehead got a touch on it to double the Rockets' lead in the 81st minute.Â
NOTES
- Katie O'Malley led the RedHawks with five shots as Miami out-shot Toledo 10-7.
- Miami had five corners to Toledo's three.Â
- This was just the second time in the last 11 matches that Miami yielded multiple goals.

Miami is back in action Friday, Oct. 18 at home against Ball State. The match begins at 7 p.m at Bobby Kramig Field.
