RedHawks Shine at Rod McCravy Meet

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The RedHawks competed in their first indoor meet of the season in the University of Kentucky's Rod McCravy Invitational this weekend.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The RedHawks travel to Bloomington, Ind. next weekend to participate in the Indiana Invite on Jan 19-20.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the women's 3000-meter event, Annie Christie finished in fifth place with a time of 9:39.44. Ava Nuttall took ninth place with a time of 9:49.34. Gianna Labbiento finished in 19th place with a time of 10:17.51. Eve Traficanti finished in 22nd place in the mile with a time of 5:16.52.
- On the field for the women, Ella Scally set a new PR in the long jump event, coming in sixth place with 5.81 meters. Scally picked up right where she left off last season in the MAC championships, beating her PR from that day. In the weight throw event, Ella Rigel (14.91m) and Santornya Ralliford (14.54m) finished in 12th and 13th place.
- In the women's 60-meter qualifiers, Camryn Dunn came in 23rd place with a time of 7.64. This time matches her PR and she was the highest placing RedHawk in this event. In the women's 60-meter hurdle qualifiers, Kayla Walters was the highest placing RedHawk, coming in 29th place with a time of 8.97. In her first college event, Mae Reed finished in 23rd place in the 300-meter event with a time of 42.17.
- In the men's 3000-meter event, Patrick Wills finished in fourth place with a time of 8:19.22, setting a new PR. Max Polak was just two spots behind him, finishing in sixth place with a time of 8:20.36. In his first race as a RedHawk, Nate Price finished in 12th place with a time of 8:27.50.
- In the qualifiers of the 60 meters, Julian Wagner finished in 11th place with a time of 6.81 seconds. In the semifinals, he finished in ninth place with a time of 6.85 seconds. In the 200 meter event, Leo Bouldin finished in 11th place with a time of 22.19 seconds.
- On the field for the men, Ben Riegel participated in the shot put event and he finished in 14th place with 15.76 meters.
The RedHawks travel to Bloomington, Ind. next weekend to participate in the Indiana Invite on Jan 19-20.
