OXFORD, Ohio-- The Miami University soccer team lost at Bobby Kramig Field 2-1 to Central Michigan this afternoon. This is Miami's first home loss in three matches. Miami's record is now 3-6-1 (0-2-0 in MAC) and Central Michigan is now 2-2-3 (1-1-0 in MAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cece Mernatti ran down the line and crossed it into Jenna Little, who took a touch, turned and shot it in to open the Chippewas' scoring.
- Little scored another shortly after the first on a mirrored play where Lauren Walker crossed it into her and she buried it.
- Taylor Hamlett gave Miami hope towards the end after she found the back of the net in a swarm around the penalty spot.
NOTES
- Hamlett had six of the 15 Miami shots.
- Dominique Popa had five saves, including an incredible kick save in the first half.
- The RedHawks had eight corners to the Chippewas' two.
- The RedHawks had 13 second-half shots.
