Volleyball Announces 2023 Schedule

OXFORD, Ohio—Miami University Volleyball has announced its competitive schedule for the 2023 season. This upcoming season features 12 home matches, including nine Mid-American Conference contests at Millett Hall, as part of the 30-match regular season.
After an exhibition match vs. Morehead State on August 19, Miami begins the home portion of its slate with the annual Miami/Best Western Invitational Sept. 1-2. Cleveland State, Florida Atlantic and Eastern Kentucky will join the Red and White in this event.
Western Michigan is the RedHawks' home conference opener the weekend of September 22-23. Miami next hosts Ball State on Friday, October 6 and Toledo on Saturday, October 7 as part of the university's Family Weekend festivities. The RedHawks then welcome Bowling Green Tuesday, October 17 for midweek action. Miami hosts rival Ohio for a pair of Homecoming matches the following weekend (October 20-21). The RedHawks wrap up their home schedule by entertaining Akron on November 10-11.
Miami starts the 2023 campaign August 25-26 by traveling to the Memphis Invitational. The RedHawks open against Samford on Friday, August 25. Miami then faces Alcorn State later that day, with a clash against the host Tigers awaiting on Saturday, Aug. 26. The Red and White's next road assignment comes at the Illinois State Invitational September 8-9. The first match will take place Friday, September 8 against Saint Louis, followed by a clash with New Mexico State. The RedHawks will take on ISU on Saturday afternoon, September 9. Miami finishes invitational play at the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational September 15-16. Miami battles SIUE and Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday, September 15. The Red and White finish the invitational on Saturday, September 16 against Valparaiso.
The RedHawks play at Northern Illinois (September 29-30) in their first away conference matches. The next road opponent is Kent State (October 13-14). Other road contests are at Eastern Michigan (October 27), Central Michigan (October 28), Buffalo (November 3-4) and Bowling Green (November 15).
