For their performances last week, runners Ava Nuttall, Carmen Riano and Charlie Harders are Miami's Athletes of the Week, presented by Skyline Chili for the week of May 29.

  Female Co-Winners: Ava Nuttall and Carmen Riano Ava Nuttall and Carmen Riano each qualified for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships with the times they produced at last week's East Prelims. Nuttall took fifth in the 10,000-meter race, finishing in 33:23.74. Riano ran a season-best 9:59.67 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, taking second in her heat. Nuttall is a junior Biology/Premedical Studies major in the College of Arts and Science from Rochester, Minn. Riano is a junior Biomedical Engineering major in the College of Engineering and Computing from Peralta, Spain.

Harders
Male Winner: Charlie Harders Charlie Harders set a new personal best with a time of 8:40.97 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the East Prelims last weekend. Harders recorded the fifth-fastest time in the field of 48 competitors and advanced to compete at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Harders is a graduate student from Western Springs, Ill. He is studying Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Computing.
