JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Miami University's
Charlie Harders finished with the fifth-fastest time of 48 competitors in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA East Prelims today to advance to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.
Harders completed his race in a personal-best time of 8:40.97, which ranks second in program history. He had previously run an 8:43.10 in Azusa, Calif. in April.
Harders will represent the RedHawks at the national championships in Austin, Texas beginning Wednesday, June 7.
