Podobinski Named MAC Men's Golfer of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio– Miami's Brett Podobinski was named the MAC Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of April 2 after a top-10 finish at the Wofford Invitational in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Podobinski put up scores of 69 in round one, 72 in round two, and 67 in round three, breaking his collegiate personal record best of 70. He finished with a three-round score of 208, or five below par, and tied for eighth overall out of 90 golfers. His success was highlighted by 15 total birdies.
Podobinski's four below par finish in the tournament's final round pushed Miami to a sixth place tournament finish out of 17 teams. He is a freshman Finance major in the Farmer School of Business from Dublin, Ohio.
The RedHawks return to action on Monday, April 10 in Batavia, Ohio, as several individuals will compete in Northern Kentucky's Jewell Invitational.
