COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Miami golf team is tied for ninth place after two rounds of Ohio State's Robert Kepler Intercollegiate with a team score of 592 (296-296). The team's efforts are highlighted by
Danny Fisher, who is tied for eighth individually out of 99 golfers.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Fisher shot one above par (72) during round one and was even with par (71) during round two. His move into the top 10 occurred after three second-round birdies.
- Jack Ebner shot par (71) during the second round, bringing himself up to 13th place individually. His round included 14 pars and two birdies.
- Michael Weber shot five over par (76) in round one and four over par (75) in round two.
- Brett Podobinski shot nine above par in the second round and Sam West shot eight above par in the second round.
- Cameron Pero, who is competing as an individual for Miami, improved his first-round score by five strokes to shoot just two above par in round two. He made three birdies in the second round.
- The RedHawks' team score has them tied with Butler for ninth place. They are two strokes behind Bowling Green and South Dakota State.
