COLUMBUS, Ohio — Miami is tied for sixth place after round one of Ohio State's Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. The RedHawks were led by
Danny Fisher and
Jack Ebner, who shot 72 and 73, respectively, and both currently hold top-15 places out of 99 individuals.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Fisher's 72 put him just one above par for the first round. He made 14 pars and two birdies in round one.
- Ebner's round was highlighted by four total birdies, including back to back birdies on holes eight (par three) and nine (par four).
- Brett Podobinski shot a 75 during the first round, putting him four over par.
- Michael Weber finished with a 76, which is five above par.
- Sam West shot a 77 for the first round. This puts him six above par.
- Cameron Pero is competing as an individual for the RedHawks. He finished round one with a score of 78, or seven over par.
- Miami's team score for the first round was 296, or 12 above par. The RedHawks are just two strokes behind Abilene Christian and Penn State.
