SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Miami University's golf team took seventh during the University of Michigan's Desert Mountain Collegiate after putting up a team score of 23 above par for three rounds.
Danny Fisher (71-72-74–217) finished tied for fifth place individually out of 93 golfers.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Fisher's three-round score of one above par was highlighted by eagles on the par-five 13th hole during both his first and second rounds. He was one of only two players in the tournament to make two eagles.
- Jack Ebner (70-79-71–220) tied for 15th overall after finishing below par in two of the three rounds. Ebner's final round included five birdies.
- Brett Podobinski (78-76-74–228) made four birdies during the third round to finish with a three-round score of 12 above par.
- Cameron Pero (79-75-76–230) and Michael Weber (77-73-80–230) each made a three-round score of 14 above par.
- Miami's three-round team score was 887 (296-296-295).
