SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Miami University golf team is tied for eighth place after round one of the University of Michigan's Desert Mountain Collegiate. The RedHawks' opening round was highlighted by scores of two below par and one below par by
Jack Ebner and
Danny Fisher, who are tied for fifth and ninth overall, respectively, at the conclusion of the first round.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ebner's first round score of 70 included six total birdies.
- Fisher's first round score of 71 featured three birdies and one eagle, which came on hole 13, a par five.
- Michael Weber finished five above par and made two birdies, tying for 32nd overall after round one.
- Brett Podobinski and Cameron Pero finished six and seven above par, respectively.
- The RedHawks' team first-round score of eight above par tied them with Little Rock, which is ranked within the top 50 in the nation.
