Fisher Named MAC Men's Golfer of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio-- Miami's Danny Fisher was named the MAC Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of March 3-7 after a top-five finish at the Desert Mountain Collegiate earlier this month. Fisher shot a 217 (71-72-74=217) during the tournament, finishing just one above par through three rounds. His back to back eagles on hole 13, a par five, during rounds one and two made him one of just two players in the tournament to make multiple eagles.

Fisher's efforts led the RedHawks to seventh place overall in the tournament, which featured two ranked teams. He is a junior marketing major in the Farmer School of Business from Lake Forest, Illinois.

The Miami golf team returns to action on Sunday, March 26 at Hueston Woods in Oxford for a match against Northern Kentucky and Bowling Green.
