BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- The Miami women's track and field team earned its first top-five finish at the MAC Indoor Championships since 2012, finishing the meet in fifth place this weekend with 66 team points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On the field, Elle Miller stepped up and took second place in the high jump event at 1.70m. Emily Eterovich came in fifth place at the pole vault event this weekend with 3.51m. Santornya Ralliford finished eighth in the shot put with 13.41m.
- Miami coach Tom Chorny was especially pleased with the way the distance team finished the 3000m. The RedHawks' strong performance included Carmen Riano (9:29.50) taking first, Annie Christie (9:32.11) coming in second and Ava Nuttall (9:38,77) finishing fourth.
- Abby Suszek finished in fourth place in the 400m dash with a time of 56.73 seconds.

WHAT'S NEXT
The RedHawks finish off the indoor season with the NCAA Indoor Championships the weekend of March 10th before transitioning to the outdoor meets. Miami boasts strong performers in outdoor events such as the 10K, steeplechase, 400m hurdles, javelin, discus, and hammer throw. The MAC Indoor Championship results provide a great launching point for Chorny's program heading into the outdoor season.
