Saturday Final Results

SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Miami University track and field team competed Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational, producing several top-ten finishes.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

On the field, Kayla Walters came in fourth place in the long jump event with 5.36m. Taylor Manley took seventh place with a result of 5.06m. Walters also competed in the high jump and came in sixth place with 1.52m. Santornya Ralliford finished in second place in the shot put event with 13.92m.
Walters continued her strong day, finishing second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.81. Abby Suszek took first in the 200m (24.70) and also finished in fourth place in the 60m dash with a time of 7.79. Gabby Cossio finished in third place in the 400m dash with a time of 57.64.
Julia Rushing (4:56.43) and Jenna Sayle (5:00.69) finished 10th and 11th in the mile run, respectively.
Unattached thrower Ryan Smith finished second in the shot put event with a distance of 16.82m. Anthony Vlatko ran unattached in the 800m and finished in seventh place with a time of 1:51.03. Ben Bayless was the only RedHawk to compete in the 3000m event and he finished in seventh place (unattached) with a time of 8:30.09.
