BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- The Miami University women's track and field team sits in a tie for third place with 23 points after the first day of competition at the MAC Indoor Championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

On the field, Lisa Froberg and Kayla Walters competed in the pentathlon, which was made up of five different events: the 60m hurdles, the high jump, the shot put, the long jump and the 800m run. Froberg and Walters finished in 11th and 14th respectively. Taylor Manley (5.45m) and Ella Scally (5.21m) participated in the long jump event and finished in 14th and 19th. Ella Rigel (17.22m) took sixth in the weight throw event, with Addison Hoover (14.78m) coming in 16th.
Carmen Riano (16:13.22), Ava Nuttall (16:16.39), and Annie Christie (16:48.73) all ran in the 5000m run and finished in second, third, and sixth place, respectively.
Julia Rushing was the highest placing RedHawk in the mile run prelims, coming in 12th place with a time of 4:58.86. Marta Cepeda Perez (2:14.63) and Nora Zubillaga (2:16.49) competed in the 800m prelims and finished in ninth and 14th, respectively. Miami's distance medley relay team (Jenna Sayle, Abby Suszek, Zubillaga and Rushing) finished in sixth place with a time of 11:57.03.
Suszek had the second-fastest time in the 400m dash prelims, running a 56.42. In the 60m dash prelims, Camryn Dunn came in 11th with a time of 7.67. Suszek also ran in the 200m dash prelims, and she finished in 15th with a time of 25.44.
