LAREDO, Texas — The Miami University golf team finished tied for 14th at the University of Houston's Border Olympics with a three-round score of 910 (309–305–296).
Michael Weber (76-78-72--226) led the RedHawks, tying for 45th overall and shooting par during his final round of play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Weber's final round of play included four total birdies as well as an eagle on the 17th hole, a par five.
- Brett Podobinski (74-76-77--227) and Danny Fisher (80–73–74–227) each tied for 49th overall. Podobinski made four birdies during the final round and Fisher made three.
- Jack Ebner (79-78-74--231) finished two above par during the final round.
- Cameron Pero (80-81-76--237) finished four above par during the final round.
- The RedHawks played their best during the final round, lowering their score by nine strokes from the previous round and moving from 16th to 14th. They finished just one stroke behind Bowling Green.

Miami will head to Scottsdale, Ariz. to compete in the University of Michigan's Desert Mountain Intercollegiate invitational on March 4-5.
