BOSTON, Mass.-- Several of the Miami University track and field team's distance runners competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Carmen Riano (16:01.99), Annie Christie (16:28.09), and Ava Nuttall (16:29.17) all ran in the 5000m and finished in 23rd, 53rd, and 55th, respectively. Julia Rushing ran in the 3000m and finished in 89th place with a time of 9:40.86. Christie set a new PR by 52 seconds. Rushing also set a new PR by nearly a second, improving a time that already ranked ninth in program history.

 
WHAT'S NEXT:
The RedHawks travel to Findlay, Ohio on February 17 and South Bend, Ind. on February 18 to compete in the Flag City Open and the Alex Wilson Invitational, respectively.
