DeKALB, Ill. - The Miami soccer team fell on the road to Northern Illinois on Sunday afternoon 1-0. Miami falls to 4-9-1 (1-5-0 in MAC) and NIU improves to 5-5-3 (3-2-1 in MAC). 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Huskies opened the scoring on a penalty in the 51st minute which was scored by Sahara Zingano. 
• Miami's best chance was a Sophia Penegor header inside the six-yard box that was caught by Sadie McGill.

NOTES

• Taylor Hamlett had all three of her shots end up on goal. 
• Miami had seven corners to NIU's two. 
• Dominique Popa had three saves.
