Members of the Miami University diving team competed across three days at the Georgia Diving Invitational, taking place at the University of Georgia from Tuesday, Jan. 3 to Thursday, Jan. 5.
 
Jackson Miller qualified for finals in all three men's events. The sophomore diver placed seventh in the 3 meter dive (321.25), ninth in the 1 meter dive (286.20) and 10th in the platform dive (296.05).
 
Also appearing in finals events for the men were Victor Hearn, who finished 11th in the platform dive (271.00) and John Dymond, who finished 12th in the 3 meter dive (279.15).
 
Sydney Rice earned the highest placement for the women's team, landing in 20th in the 3 meter dive prelims (265.35). Mia Meinhardt had the best finishes for the RedHawks in two events, earning 22nd in the platform dive prelims (195.30) and 24th in the 1 meter dive prelims (224.15).

The remaining times for Miami came from preliminary events.
 
In the men's 1 meter dive, David Burke (214.70), Hearn (200.90) and Dymond (200.40) placed 23rd, 24th and 25th respectively. Madeline Lutzko (216.15) and Lauren Melia (211.30) finished 31st and 32nd for the women's team, with Nora Kowalski in 38th (197.70).
 
The women's 3 meter dive prelims had Meinhardt in 29th (248.10), Kowalski in 35th (231.75), Lutzko in 39th (223.40) and Melia in 40th (223.15). The men had finishes from Hearn (234.00) and Burke (208.70) in 25th and 26th respectively.
 
Finally, in the men's platform dive prelims, Burke earned 21st (223.25) and Dymond earned 22nd (222.20). The women's team landed Kowalski in 23rd (194.75), Lutzko in 31st (174.15) and Melia in 34th (152.60).
 
Miami's swimming and diving team returns to action with a visit to Northwestern University for a co-ed meet on Saturday, Jan. 7. Start time is set for 11 a.m.
